Join us for the thrid installment of the Driftless Grappling Series, August 5th starting at Noon central time. This event will consit of an 8 woman no-gi advanced bracket, an 8 man no-gi advanced bracket, and several individual grappling matches feauturing talent from a number of different academies and cities.

Ruleset
-10 minutes regulation time for the brackets and the black belt superfights
-8 minutes regulation time for the blue belt superfight.
-6 minutes regulation time for white belt superfights.
-Up to 2 OT rounds of 90 seconds for all matches.
-No Slamming
-No “Full Nelson”
-No Neck Cranks
-No Crucifix Neck Crank
-No spiking your opponent on their head with any takedown
-No spiking your opponent on their head when they are on your back
-No striking of any kind
-No eye gouging
-No fish hooking
-No hair pulling
-No holding less than 4 fingers or 5 toes
-No thumbing
-No scratching or pinching
-No biting
-No squeezing or putting excessive pressure on the groin area
-No elbows or knees on the face
-No slippery substances on the body
-No holding onto shirt or shorts
-Flying submissions are ok
-Resets will put you back in the position you ended
-No stalling
-No steel cups
-Heel hooks, toe holds, bicep cutters, calf slicers, and twisters are ok for the brackets and black belt superfight.
-Bicep cutters, calf slicers, straight ankle locks and straight knee bars are ok for the blue belt superfight. No heel hooks, toe holds, or twisting knee bars for the blue belt superfight.
-No heel hooks, toe holds, bicep cutters, calf slicers, twisting knee bars or twisters for white belt superfights. Straight ankle locks and straight knee bars are ok for white belt superfights.
-OT is done if you lose the position unless you are transitioning into another submission. It will keep going until there is no longer a submission threat.
-The match isn’t over until the ref says stop or time.
-Make your taps obvious or loud. Protect yourself at all times.
